At The Car Store, we want you to know that weather can play a role as it relates to how well your car functions. At extreme temperatures, your battery may not last as long or work as well as it does during periods of more mild weather.

During an extremely cold spell, your car's battery may have trouble generating the energy needed to fully crank. You may notice that it takes several seconds for the engine to start revving when you try to start it on a cold morning or if the car has been sitting in a cold garage for several hours.

During an extremely hot spell, the battery will typically break down faster than it would during normal conditions. Therefore, although the car is likely to start as normal, you may notice that the battery doesn't last as long as it otherwise would.
